Cicadas are exploding in the eastern United States by the billions which is the largest event since 2004. They have been underground for 17 years and are known as Brood X. The males emitting a loud buzzing noise, while flexing a drum-like organ called a tymbal, are emerging to mate. They can be heard throughout the eastern northwest and throughout my cicada videos which signify a mythological visual voyage and a healing process.
